This piece has only scratched the surface of how it sometimes feels to be a woman in America. It has many places to lead the artist before it finds a home.
The painting “Livestock” is a passionately captured reaction to the recent setbacks in women’s rights in America. It speaks to many people in a way that words cannot describe. The piece was create after hearing the quote “There is a term for living creatures who are not allowed to control their own reproduction. That term is ‘Livestock’.”
